    DAYBREAK
APPOINTMENT POLICY

Missed Appointment Policy

Here at Daybreak, we understand that life is busy! Things come up, and losing track of the details happens. In addition, families make choices to do special activities, go on trips, or even just need a break for a day. We ask for your understanding that missed appointments make it difficult for us to offer consistent, quality therapy and services to your child or family member, as well as to run our clinic and pay our staff. Please be aware of our policy regarding cancellations and ‘no shows’.

Appointment Cancellation

When you book your appointment, or register for a program, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to other families. For single day cancellations, please let us know as soon as possible.

The first missed appointment due to illness will be billed at 80% of the appointment fee, and all subsequent missed appointments will be billed at 100% of the appointment fee.

Appointments missed for any other reason will be billed at 100% of the appointment fee. Alternate dates will be offered to make up missed appointments for some services, when available, which may be accepted or not, at the family’s discretion.

Late Cancellation or No Show

A late cancellation is when an appointment is cancelled less than 2 hours before scheduled time. A no show is when an appointment is missed with no notice. Late cancellation or no show appointments will be charged the full appointment fee. In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied to future appointments.

Frequent cancellations may result in loss of time slot.

Intake Appointment

First meetings are considered intake appointments and are complimentary. If a first appointment is missed, and the family wishes to rebook, regular hourly rates will apply.

Cancellation by Daybreak

If Daybreak is unable to provide a service (e.g., staff illness with unavailable alternative staff), there will be no charge for that appointment.

Termination of Services

Families have the right to permanently terminate services at any time. Please let us know as much as possible ahead of time if you have decided to end services with any Daybreak practitioner.

How to Cancel Your Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, please email, text or call as soon as possible. If necessary, please leave a detailed voice message.

Thank you for your understanding.
